If you must say YES, say it with an open heart. If you must NO, say it without fear. -Paulo Coelho

I love these two funny women. Great prank!

There is no complexity in happiness, for simplicity is its one essential ingredient.---Doreen Virtue

Two of my favorite monsters. I love Sesame Street!

Apparently, the fall of Sauron is celebrated as the Gondorian New Year. 25 March is also Tolkien Reading Day.

FYI: The Elven New Year, Vinya Loa, is on the 28th of March. The traditional greeting is:" May the New Year be blessed."

My kind of March Madness.

Another brilliant piece from The Daily Show with Jon Stewart about religious freedom, hypocrisy, intolerance. Bravo Wyatt Cenac and writing/producing team!

Here's the Watkins Review's list of 100 Most Spiritually Influential Living People.

Out of curiosity, I went to a vernal equinox ceremony last Saturday. First, Jody "smudged" all 6 of us for cleansing. We chanted this Hopi chant while waiting for the arrival of spring. She banged a drum, we shook rattles. As 721 PM rolled around, we made noise, blew bubbles, and balanced raw eggs on the ground. (I looked it up online and knew it was possible to do this at any other time.) We made a mandala of eggs. After Jody closed the space, I went home. I felt a little weird about the whole thing, but I did feel joy and peace among these strangers. It felt great to welcome the season of renewal and rebirth in this way. May spring be a time of transformation for all of us. Special healing thoughts and prayers to Japan and New Zealand.

The earth is our mother, we must take care of her (2x)
Hey yana ho yana hey yan yan (2x)

Her sacred ground we walk upon, with every step we take (2x)
Hey yana ho yana hey yan yan (2x)

The earth is our mother, she will take care of us (2x)
Hey yana ho yana hey yan yan (2x)

alternate verses:
The sky is our father, we must take care of him...
The rivers are our sisters, we must take care of them...
The trees are our brothers, we must take care of them...

I couldn't wait to see what The Daily Show with Jon Stewart has to say about Libya. Here's their brilliant piece about how America chooses whether to get involved or not in another country's struggle for freedom and democracy.

I heard tomorrow, March 22, is National Goof Off Day. I wish I could. *sigh*

Spring arrives tonight at 721 PM! May Spring clear our hearts and minds. Let's clear the air of past grudges, open our hearts and allow Light to enter.

Full super moon in Virgo tonight. Release toxic patterns, negativity, and that which is no longer serving you. You can ask for help from the Archangels Michael, Haniel and Raziel.

I've been following the beautiful blog posts of this American woman living in Sendai, Japan. Here's her latest.

I was very upset when I heard about the disaster in Japan. Maybe I was just very sensitive that day, but it seemed like I truly felt the collective pain of the Japanese people. I cried so much after the 2004 tsunami, the Ondoy flooding, but maybe because of the double (now triple, with the nuclear crisis) disasters, I was beside myself. This was one of those times where I really felt one with the world. Here's a note written by Thicht Nahat Hahn.

"Dear friends in Japan,

As we contemplate the great number of people who have died in this tragedy, we may feel very strongly that we ourselves, in some part or manner, also have died.

The pain of one part of humankind is the pain of the whole of humankind. And the human species and the planet Earth are one body. What happens to one part of the body happens to the whole body.

An event such as this reminds us of the impermanent nature of our lives. It helps us remember that what's most important is to love each other, to be there for each other, and to treasure each moment we have that we are alive. This is the best that we can do for those who have died: we can live in such a way that they continue, beautifully, in us.

Here in France and at our practice centers all over the world, our brothers and sisters will continue to chant for you, sending you the energy of peace, healing and protection. Our prayers are with you."

Thich Nhat Hanh

Another tear-jerker:

"To have life is profound joy."---sign made by junior highschool students staying at a shelter in Sendai, Japan.

It's not a dog eat dog world.

CNN reports the dogs have been rescued. Thank God for small miracles.

Miracles aren't always big.

If you spend all your time looking for big miracles, you're likely to miss a lot of the little ones; finding your keys when you need them, getting the right medicine for an illness, arriving home safely. God is giving you little miracles all the time. The more you look for them, the more you will see.

Thank God for miracles like the survivors being found in Japan's rescue efforts. Like that baby, and the elderly people.

Love, Peace, and Abundance to you and your people.

"Love is the force that transforms and improves the Soul of the World." - Paulo Coelho

Although Nick Jonas and the girl who played Cosette annoyed the heck out of me, I still love this song.

I don't know how true this is.

Uranus in final degree of Pisces-- instability in the oceans which are ruled by Pisces. Uranus is lightening fast changes. Hence earthquakes and tsunamis. Both inside of us and also outside.

It was heartbreaking to turn on the TV this morning and see images of the destructive earthquake and tsunami in Japan. I had a flashback to the 2004 tsunami, the Haiti earthquake, the Katrina disaster, and other calamities. I said a prayer for the victims, and even started to look up prayers specifically for natural disasters. It just so happened my Mom sent a text message:

Spare us Lord from the threat of strong earthquake and tsunami. We lift our safety unto your loving arms and shield us from destruction. We ask this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ through the intercession of Mother Mary. Amen.

I also found this mantra to protect against harm from Earth. Let's keep sending prayers and loving thoughts to those affected.
OM TARE TUTTARE TURE MAMA SARVA LAM LAM BHAYA SHANTIM KURU SOHA .

I was bawling when I saw Alfie Boe's rendition of "Bring Him Home" at the 25th anniversary concert of Les Miserables. I ♥ him. Here it is:

My gosh, I love these two together.

Look what's in store this month according to Simone Butler. Ask and you shall receive.

I am so tired of Charlie Sheen's multiple exclusive interviews, and the media's continuing coverage of his public breakdown. I know they're doing it for ratings. So they persist in giving this obviously troubled man a platform.

I was pleased to hear Craig Ferguson say the other night that he is done talking about Mr. Sheen. The next day, I read this great article from npr.

I've been reading Mr. Ferguson's book, American on Purpose, so I know about his battle with alcoholism. I found this clip of Mr. Ferguson talking about his own checkered past, and his then refusal to judge or make fun of Britney Spears. Voice of reason indeed.

this incredible article about happiness.

The Onion never fails to make me laugh everyday. Here's another gem.

You know spring is just around the corner when your local Dairy Queen opens. Happy First Day of March!
